I had my last training session today, after four weeks of making excuses not to go. I got weighed, measured, body fat pincher thing'ed, the works. Turns out, the scale at home is a lot friendlier than the wretched machine they keep at Gold's, not to mention my body fat is 4% HIGHER than when I started working out. I want to explain this one away with technological error, but maybe I haven't been doing enough strength training. I've been trying to lose those "last 10 pounds" since the beginning, with not much fat to burn, could my body be eating up its muscle that fast? The good news is that I've lost an inch off my hips and half an inch off my waist, so at least I've got SOME proof of the progress I thought I'd been making. :ohwell:

I am unsure how you were measured for the body fat but there are known errors built into those calculations dependent on the type you have done. Water displacement is the best, I don't know the second best --- but, anyway give yourself a break it could be due to two different people doing the measurements not quite the same way.
Anyway, you're exercising and making progress stay with the positive and don't give up. You're doing great! If you want bump up the strength training which is great for bone density anyway!
Good luck!0
