I have been using MFP since January and have lost 12lb but unfortunately at the beginning of March sustained a foot injury which has now turned out to be foot tendonitis. It is so frustrating not being able to walk properly let alone think of exercise, I can't even try swimming as I can't flex the foot.

I was thinking of getting one of those inflatable exercise balls to do core exercises on but wondered if they were any good or would I be wasting my money in purchasing one?

Can I ask a daft question?

I'm not sure if I have tendonitis in my left ankle, can I ask what your pain is like? :embarassed:
  • They are very good for core exercises but you need to be taught properly how to use one!

The pain I have now is like really bad toothache that will not go away no matter what painkillers I take. The pain is localised from the inside of the ankle down to my big toe but have a big lump over the joint where the foot bone meets the big toe bone which is where the worse pain is, Dr has informed me that this is where the tendon has been damaged. I am also getting the pain in the arch of my foot as well, I am unable to move the toe properly either as the tendon is not working correctly. The other thing is that in bed I have to sleep with my foot on top of the covers as I cannot bear the weight of the covers resting on the toe and joint.

If you do have similar symptons I would recommend you get it checked out.

    Thanks.

Mine is more localised around my ankle, rather than down the foot towards the toe. Was really bad on Sunday and swelled up after I spent the whole day on my feet shopping on Saturday :blushing:

I'm due at the docs next week so may just mention it then. Thanks a lot :flowerforyou:
