Just wanted to let everyone in the northern virginia area know to keep a watch out for a beautiful dog named Jeddah.
She was lost on 7/10/2008 by United Airlines at the Dulles Airport. She was going to Saudi Arabia with her owner, an Army soldier who hasa year long duty. They drove up from their home in NC so Jeddah would not have to be transferred from plane to plane. Before he boarded the plane, he was told United lost his dog. Something slammed into her crate and broke open the gate - and she ran, likely terrified.

This website was started by a local company to help in the search. There is a reward of $5000. The family is staying in the area until she is found. There have been alot of sightings, even thru the terrible storms we had late last night. She is currently believed to be in the Centreville/Manassas areas, along route 28 south. This webstie has tons of pictures and details on who to call, how to approach her, etc. PLEASE look it over and pass it on to your friends and family!
The owner is serving his country to help protect our way of life. The least we can do is help him find his baby, so he can go to duty with one less thing to worry about. I know I'd be a mess - inconsolable - if this happened to my baby. He and his wife are just like me and my husband. Our dog is our baby, we have no children yet. She is truly a member of our family - and may as well be human as far as we are concerned. Poor Jeddah is out there, hungry, thirsty and scared, in a foreign area to her, enduring horrible thunder storms, 96 degree temps - just looking for her parents and home, anything familiar. Please help her and her family.

There is also a link to a flyer. that link is off of www.helpfindjeddah.com
If you live in the area, you can help the family with some expenses by printing out a flyer and posting them in your area or where you work. It's amazing what people can do when they work together!0 -
Awwww..this breaks my heart!:brokenheart: The best I can do is say a prayer.
Get home safely Jeddah!0 -

hopefully they are getting close to her. they seem to have narrowed the search to 2 towns along route28 south and are now asking for help from professional dog trackers and handlers. so they must be onto something now!
we have another round of really bad storms coming this afternoon. i just pray they find her before then. it has been almost 2 weeks! but the good news is people are sighting her and trying to get her, but she is scared....0 -
just an update, in case anyone lives in woodbridge VA area...
As of 7/23/08 Jeddah has been sighted in Woodbridge, VA in the Westfields subdivision and the surrounding area. She may be in the company of a Black Shepard/Shepard mix dog.
If you see Jeddah DO NOT CHASE HER. Stop, sit, speak to her gently and offer her food. IMMEDIATELY DIAL 713-240-1268 or 469-441-88460
