MY way is the ONLY way and other ridiculous thoughts

I really enjoy coming here and reading about the success and struggles of others. I enjoy sharing what works for me and will give my opinion, based on my experiences, when I am asked.
I get very frustrated sometimes at the abundance of JUDGEMENT you can find on any weight loss site.
Whether or not to eat sugar, meat, or processed foods is a personal choice. What is right for me may not be right for someone else and if I tell someone they are wrong in what they are choosing then I could be causing more harm and contributing to their health issues.
Whether or not to make a food journal public is a personal choice. I've seen dozens of posts where people think you must be "cheating" if you don't share your journal. That is a hugely unjustified judgement call. And....why should you care about what someone else may or may not be doing? It is THEIR life, their choices. It doesn't affect you and your choices unless you let it. Which would be your issue, not theirs.
Whether or not you count "coffee" as part of your water is a personal choice based on your own wants and health. What works for one doesn't always work for another and there are different and still valid schools of thought on this.
What someone counts as exercise isn't up to you. You don't know their current health or activity level. If it works for them, support them. If they want to ask for advice, give them your person OPINION but remember it is just that, an OPINION, not a fact, and not the only "right way".
Let this be a safe place for support and encouragment. Leave the judgment out and we'll all see more success and get more satisfaction.
If there was really only a black and white one way to live we'd all be perfect. We are all shades of gray. Embrace that.
Just my OPINION.

Agree 100%
People need to remember that we only know our "friends" on here from what they post and tell us. We honestly don't know them and their life and what they face every day....and its not required of anyone to tell anything they don't want to. So if you see someone logging something as exercise calories that you think "psst whatever" you have to remember you DON'T know the whole story! (For example a stay at home mom who logs cleaning calories....how do you know that she doesn't have 3 very active boys that literally destroy her house every day with their playfulness and little kid tendencies? Heck she could have to move furniture every day to get that place spotless, haha...we don't know unless she tells us, but she doesn't have to.) So people need to have a heart and just relax a bit. Worry about our weight loss journey and less about other's "mistakes"0 -
Indeed!
Life is too short to worry about what other people are doing or aren't doing. Concentrate on yourself and what works for you.
And we all know stress hinders weight loss, so why add to it!0 -

Hey, who are you to judge people from being judgmental!?!
But seriously, couldn't agree more. We're all different. I can share what works for me, but it won't work for everyone.0 -
