I need to know the low down on going over on protein because I'm almost always over. I grew up on a farm where meat and potatoes were staples, and now it's hard to keep my protein in check. Will the excess protein inhibit my weight loss? Or will it be excreted like other nutrients? Will eating protein from source other than meat (i.e. beans) matter? I just want to make sure that I’m not unintentionally sabotage myself. Thanks!

Keep in mind that the percentages that MFP gives as goals are just guidelines. If you prefer to eat more protein, you can adjust the percentages in the settings. I am on a low carb diet and have adjusted mine drastically and am, of course, losing weight.0
