My son just took his first steps!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't really too worried about him walking, even though his doctor kept telling me he was delayed. I figured as long as he was walking before his 5th birthday, I'd be happy.

But then he took his first steps today!!!!!!! He walked pretty far too! I'd say about three feet! Then he laughed and gave me a big hug like he already knew how to do it and was just waiting to surprise me with it.

Now I want him to be a little baby again. :sad: :sad: :sad:

It's a big day over here at the homestead. I'm kind of between crying with joy and looking at his baby pictures on the wall and crying because he's such a big boy and I want him to be my little baby again.

Awww, I know what you mean. I look at my sweet Lilliana and I can't believe how fast she's growing.

my son is delayed also.. he was diagnosed with fragile x.. when he was 3.. now he will be 11 in dec... he now can tell me what certain words are and he wrote..POPCORN THE OTHER DAY FOR THE FIRST TIME.... hes doing things we would have never thought hed do... GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR SON!

Oh and yes those first steps.....those first of many more to come...and many more omg I need to bubble proof this house and all its corners and wow remember when you could just put him down and he'd stay put days to come too! lol

Oh, enjoy, enjoy! My first baby goes to college in 3 weeks. It is in our state, but it is a 5 hour drive and I am soooo gonna be crying when we drop him off!!! :brokenheart: It is time for him to be a young man, though. I miss my boys being babies!!!

Awwww, what a moment!:flowerforyou: With my first two babies I was anxious for them to do all their firsts, now with my third.... I can wait lol!!
