input on osteoarthritic knee and 30 day shred cardio

Due to a past car accident, I have osteoarthritis in both knees, worse in the right. I use the elliptical and love it, no knee pain. Started doing 30 DS and today was day 3. Even though they are short bursts of cardio, my knee is swollen and stiff after the workout. The impact from the jumping jacks, rope jumping, etc. is stressful on it. I'm considering doing just the boxing punches for all the cardio and leaving my feet on the ground. Has anyone else experienced this and have suggestions? There is very minimal pain in the knee but I do have concerns that I might be contributing to damage because the resulting swelling and stiffness.
