BMR and being awake

OK, I need some brain power to help me work this out! I know a body burns calories constantly, and my BMR will be calculated based on an average day. The thing is one night a week I work a night shift. I typicall will wake up at abou 5:30 . . . sometime during the day I will work out . . .I may catch a 20 -30 minute cat nap, then I will go to work and by the time I get home I have been awake for about 26 hours. Can I figure a slightly higher caloric demand for this time period? Also, I usually sleep for about 2-3 hours the next day and then proceed as normal so that I can sleep the following night. All in all I will be awake for 38-39 hours in a a 42 hour time frame.
If I go over my calories a bit during this time frame do you think that it is pretty much fueling my body for this non sleep time, or should I just stick to the MFP calculations no matter what?

Your BMR is what your body would burn if you never got out of bed. BMR + Activity level is what you're thinking of and that is what MFPs calculations are based off of.0
