I just found out that sitting and playing Clarinet burns calories! Here's the website with the formula each person can calculate, based on their current weight!

http://www.livestrong.com/article/316004-how-many-calories-does-playing-the-clarinet-burn/

How do we get MFP to add it into their cardiovascular list so I can get credit for burning 288 calories while practicing with the community band for 2 hours today?!!!!

No wonder I'm always hungry after band practice!!

You can click on add and add it just like you would food intake that isn't already listed.
I play bells and saw a thread where someone though it shouldn't be counted as exercise. Obviously they've never played bells. They are heavy, weighted bells and a great workout. When I first started I could barely get through one hour and my arms were so sore. Today it isn't as much of a physical challenge except when performing because then we don't stop between songs.
    Good luck!

If you go to the exercise database and input music playing, I think its the first one....

Thanks for everyone's help! I actually found it! They even had another spot about marching band! But you should figure out your calories with the livestrong site first to see how much you actually did burn since it's based on your weight and metabolism.
