    zara,

I hope this will help. I used to have low and unhappy days a lot. Since I began eating healthy food and exercising I feel like a different person. I have days when I really don't want to exercise, and so I don't. I have days when I want something sweet - so I have it.

All temporary set-backs are just that - temporary. You know what you need to do, and you will do it! You can make it work, zara, and we are here for you. Just do what you can when you can, and try to make more good choices than bad. C'mon, girl, you are tough! Start again today.

I am not doing well right now either. I am having health “issues” again. I am having to see 3 different specialists for 3 different problems. I have had one set of tests that are OK…..for now. That problem will have to be watched. I am having more tests Tomorrow that I am doing prep for now….they require anesthesia….I will be sleeping good after that lol. (I have to laugh to keep from crying) Then I am seeing the third doctor the first part of December. I will be having more tests then also.
I didn’t make the Thanksgiving challenge. I am hoping to do better for the Christmas challenge.
Hang in there girl. We can do this. :flowerforyou:

It's so hard when you are trying to change your lifestyle, but you have other issues to deal with, take it slow and don't beat yourselves up.......
  • I agree that it's best to just not let it get you down if you've had a bad week (or month) or use this as an excuse to just give up on the whole thing - keep trying and see every day as a fresh start. You haven't gained any weight, so there's no damage done. Now you just need to get back to what you were doing before you got ill. You'll reach your goals if you keep trying and don't give up!

Zara and Loretta, know that we are thinking of you both. Don't give up but take care of your health first and start again slowly. :flowerforyou: Come talk to us when you want to. I was wondering why I hadn't seen either of you for awhile. We miss you both ~Karen

Thinking of you both. Don't loose hope! We, and I say we cause we are all in this together can do this. The incouragement from everyone and the message board is something that keeps me going. Loretta I was worried about you, you haven't been messaging much and was concerned. I will pray everything goes well for you and these many doctors fix you up like new. Think positive girlfriend, positive thinking is half the battle. I too am going through some stuff, we all have to stay positive.:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

We have all at one time or another lost that wonderful MoJo..Be glad that you did not gain. Food habits can be regained in short order so do not worry too much about that.
And you will feel better in time, this will not be a forever thing even though I am sure it feels that way right now.
I have found with me that the times I have lost my MoJo... It was because I let my goal or goals get stale.
Re-evaluate where you are going with you new diet and in the long run your new body.
I had one time that I lost my MoJo because I had lost too much weight and my clothes did not look right on me anymore. I felt frumpy and unattractive. It took a friend to point out that I could get new clothes and feel better about how I looked.
Right now I am working on a Bare Boat cruise. Sailing to the Carib. So I tell myself over and over again.
One apple/one salad/ one veggie platter closer to sailing.
One step/ one jog/ one work out closer to cast off day.
One more glass of water to the wind in my face and the ocean under my feet.

    I hope this helps.

Now the obvious question: Is "Bare" what it sounds like? Cuz I would have to lose more than my 40 lb goal if I was going to be bare in front of strangers
