I'm going to my mums today to make some scones & jam tarts from scratch but I really didn't want to use butter/margarine as I'm guessing that's where most of the calories come from. I had a look at my packet of Vitalite [vegan alternative] & it is suitable for baking.
Now, how would I work out the calories for these scones/jam tarts now that I've changed the recipe? Anyone know of any websites where you can put in the ingredients & it tells you, or another solution? I don't want to eat them without knowing how many calories I'm munching away!

Any help is very appreciated. :)

you can do it on here under "my recipes" there is a place where you can list your ingredients and such and it does the math for you...and they sound yummy

Good for you!! Well, MFP has it's own recipe calculator. When you are in the food tracking part, Just click on the Recipes Tab and and way on the right i believe it says create a new recipe, click and enter your recipe ingredients and servings and it will calculate all your nutrition and calories and you can ad it right to your food tracker. Good luck, I do that too so I know exactly what I am eating, when i don' know, that's when I get into trouble fast:) Have fun making your scones and jam!
