I'm considering going low carb when I start the next phase of Chalean Extreme. I've done Atkins before (or dabbled in it, never worked through the whole program) and you start out with 20 grams of carbs a day for induction and then slowly add back healthy carbs. It's extreme for those first few weeks. So those that do low carb successfully...how many carbs do you eat in a day? I only have about 6 lbs left before I move to maintenance and my "addiction" to simple carbs is holding me back.

I would personally go away from only eating low carb. If yah want to accelerate your weight loss you need to have uneasy workouts like yah did when you first started. You could ziz zag normal and low carb days but doing only low carb I think your in for trouble in long run. Do you notice your workout calories are almost the same everyday? You need to step it up girl and get with the HIIT on treadmill0

Try this interval workout Amanda:

its down toward the middle of the page, under 30 minute treadmill workout.
That'll get you sweating!0 -
I try to stick to under 100 a day. I'm not a big believer in Atkins or anything that completely cuts out one food group, but it's fairly easy to switch from cereals or toast for breakfast to eggs or other protien, and I try each day to have one lo-carb meal (meat and salad, vegetable stew) that avoids potatoes/rice/pasta/bread.0

90 grams/day is my limit. i try to end up at about 60g, but i have room for maneuver that way and the odd home made slice of whole wheat bread.0
