Same old routine

Is it ok to do the same exercises everday? I have been donig Level 1 of the 30 day shred, plus my stationary bike everyday. I will move on to level 2 and so on... but I like to ride my stationary, and real bike all the time... I heard that after a while your body gets used to that type of exercise and it wouldn't work for you anymore.. But the only thing I see that could happen is that you loose weight and need to work harder to get your heart pumping.

I think it still works, just maybe not as much. You need to increase the intensity is all. I know when I try something new, I do see a drop in my weight and/or inches. I tried a new class last week - it was a circuit training class - and oh my goodness - I dropped 3 pounds last week and I swear it was because I did that class twice mixed in with my regular workouts.

You might want to change it up a little. Your body will get use to it. Take a break from it, try something else, then you can go back to it, or up it to the next level.

I do the same thing with my treadmill. I do think my body adapted to my "same old routine" so now I am trying to do intervals and vary the intensity day to day. I think it helps with the fitness part (b/c I can tell I have to work harder than I used to) but it also just makes it more mentally challenging/interesting to shake it up a little bit.

Great job committing to the exercise!!!! Whatever keeps you moving is certainly a good thing!
