Making Some Healthy Changes For Spring

Hello!
I'm a 28 year old woman. I've struggled with my weight for a few years. When puberty ended and my metabolism slowed down, I kept gaining weight. I've always been active and love to exercise and am generally have been in good health (Blood pressure, cholesterol etc). My parents are both yo-yo dieters and I watched them gain and lose the same 30 pounds my whole life. I tried Weight Watchers, lost 30 pounds and after over a year on plan I couldn't deal with being hungry all the time and how anxious I was. Something about it made me a bit crazy. So I stopped counting points and gained my weight back. But I did keep some healthy habits I had learned.
I took up running, and I finished a 5K in the fall. I am training for a 10K in May and am very psyched about it. I haven't been on a scale in months, but I feel damn good.
My husband's New Year's resolution was to keep a food diary. He's been using MFP and has lost 10 pounds. I decided to make some changes in preparation for my race - cut out caffeine and alcohol, and be more diligent with my multivitamin, drinking enough water and getting enough sleep. I decided, why not try a food journal too? So here I am.
I must say I'm impressed. I'm also really shocked about some of the things I'm learning. My BMR is almost 1600 calories. No wonder 1100-1200 on Weight Watchers wasn't possible to maintain! I'm excited to try a plan that seems more doable, and healthier too.
