Networking...
Considering we all have a common goal to lose weight and look better, I think this would be a great time to also use our god-given talents. Lets start a MFP networking site where we not only lose weight, but also support each other in the business world. We can lose weight and perhaps make more money doing it. What do you guys/gals think? BTW, I am a Realtor in New York.

Well what we can is all of us share our professions with the MFP community. I will send the MFP team an email asking to place a networking tab or something on its site. Its worth a shot0

I'm a freelance copy editor based in the Northwest, but I have customers as far away as Las Vegas. Not too shabby when you can partially write off a trip to Vegas as a business expense! :bigsmile:0

Just a warning - it's against the rules to post anything that you could financially benefit from - you can't even say "message me for more info...". MFP cannot be all things for all people - it is designed to be a fitness tool, not a place to get customers/clients and the like.
Mike posted ( http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/135893-no-advertisements-allowed-on-the-forums ):To help ensure that the forums remain a place where you can receive unbiased opinions and to prevent the forums from becoming filled with ads, we do not allow any form of advertising in the forums. Specifically, you may not post anything from which you might financially benefit, i.e. talking about a product and asking people to visit your website to learn more, "message me for more info", "I can get you free samples", etc.
While it's obviously not a violation of the rules to simply state your profession, some people are bound to cross the line, so be careful.0 -
Indeed. Don't want this to become the next Usenet.0

Its a good point because someone always crosses the line but it would be a good tool. Im not thinking about having ads all over the place, but just a "profession" page or place in your profile0
