Everyone is different, so it is hard to say. First time I did it, I burned like 750 calories.

400-1000 depending on age, weight, gender, height, intensity, HR, etc.

Thanks...I was wondering before I did it so I could estimate for my calories. I burned about 350...not bad for a weight training workout!

I will answer the question as all of these questions need to be answered...invest in a heart rate monitor. It is the best $100 I ever spent on my lifestyle change journey...that way there are no guesses.

Thanks, I have one and I agree...the BEST investment for people who exercise! I like to put my exercise in here before I do it and just wanted a rough estimate!

Once you have your heart rate, what formula do you use to figure the calories burned?

HUmmm... My heartrate monitor does all of that for me. It knows my age, height and weight and determines my calories from that using my heart rate. There are some website out there with formulas....livestrong might have one or maybe sparkpeople.
