Calories grams and milligrams....
mg is milligrams -- salt is measured this way.
fat and protein are measured in grams..
Calories is measured in its own category.
Example: chicken pasta salad for dinner....
It shows how many calories it has, how many grams of protein and grams of carbs and grams of fiber and milligrams of salt.
Hope that is helpful for you.

I understand reading packages, I just wasn't clear on how MFP records it on the food dairy. I thought it was all calories, but I just discovered the "full report" button, and I think its in grams there....but again, I'm not sure.0

Fat, sugar, etc is measured in grams. Sodium is milligrams.0
