I know what you mean. Within a couple of days of starting exercise, I was already feeling better about myself. When I've been too far under my goal calories, I've not done a workout that night and have been restless all night. I'm considering stocking up some really high calorie foods, so that I can do a workout every night. And the site is 100% addictive. I keep it up on my computer screen all evening/night (I'm lucky enough to have two computers) and logging on is one of the first things I do in the morning.
I hope that the pain in your hip gets better soon, I know if it were me, I'd soon be going crazy from wanting to exercise, but knowing that the best thing to do is let my body heal up.0 -
This happened to me too!! I haven't done any exercise in years..... but started walking on Monday and have done one each day this week (OK, I know that's only 3!) but Monday I got the pain in my hips and Tuesday it started to become almost unbearable. I tried some more cushioned trainers today and it definitely made it easier. I'm no expert, but I did think it was from walking on a very hard surface (was outside) with unsuitable shoes (I had trainers with quite thin soles). I was quite pleased to think I'd found a solution as I was beginning to think I was doing more harm than good trying to exercise without losing more weight.0

I was under the weather too yesterday. :frown: Back, hip pain either a trapped nerve or sciatica. It put a stop to my exercising yesterday and the pain disturbed my sleep. I did take ibruprofen and that helped but it shows how my mentality has changed because it was hours before I reached for the tablets and tried to keep on the move to keep myself mobile. Funnily enough I did feel let down that I couldn't earn those extra calories. Not so bad today though the knee is a a bit sore on the exercise bike. The rain put a stop to my lunch time walk today.
It doesn't hurt to have a rest day to avoid aggravating the problem. Take care everyone! :flowerforyou:0 -
