I have been counting calories for two weeks now and walking every night. I am working myself up to a complete cardio workout every night. I will lose 2 lbs and then gain it back. I fluctuate so much.... I have struggled for the past year eating well and drinking ALL my water every day and nothing. I did LA Weightloss for 6 months exactly like they said and only lost 9 lbs. I am having a bad day and just need some encouragement I guess. I see people lose weight all the time and I struggle so hard and just want to give up. But I hate the way I look and I am just not happy. I am beginning to wonder if it has anything to do with having my tubes tied with my last child. I hear that it can really mess up your hormones and I am wondering if my hormones is the reason why I have so much trouble losing the weight. :frown: Just a really bad day today.

don't let the frustration stop you from making progress!
my weight fluctuated throughout the past year or so, but during the last couple of months i've started to see consistent results. stay motivated even if you aren't seeing the results you want. they WILL come!!

You say "only 9 pounds" in 3 months - but that is 9 pounds more than you would have lost if you didn't try at all!!! Check with your doctor to see if maybe it IS a hormone issue, but in the meantime, stick with it! Being HEALTHY is what matters most, and if you are watching what you eat and exercising, you are building that most important part!

We are with you all the way!!!

all women are different!!! but i had my tubes tied sept 2007 and have lost 41 lbs since then, with just light dieting by that i mean if i really want something i have it just in moderation. also the only exercise i did for the first 6 months was walking on the beach 4 days a week for 45min at a time. so in my opinion its not the tubal.

dont give up!!! remember how long it took you to put the weight on, its gonna take that long to get it off. keep at it. exspeciallly the walking it really is the best way to start. dont starve yourself either. keep using this site it really helps in all ways.

  • I have been in the same boat as you. I thought it was from having my tubes tied, then I thought it was from having my hystorectomy. Finally I just realized that it is me. I've had all the blood tests for thyroid, etc. In 2005 I joined Slim 4 Life, (just like LA weightloss) and I did lose 110 lbs. But since I ran out of time, I have gained everything back plus 10 lbs. I couldn't believe I let myself go, but I'm back on it and I also have started walking 30 minutes a day to start. This is also something that my husband and I are doing together which is helping out a lot also.

Don't be frustrated, keep on truckin'!!! You have a lot of support here.

Thank you, my husband walks and works out with me as well. I have had my thyroid checked and I am going to go back and have ALL my hormones checked. I know about 3 years ago they were out of balance and I was told I was insulin resistant and now another doctor is saying I am not. So I finally have insurance again and will get all that rechecked to rule that out. But it could very well just be me....sigh.....I am going to keep trying. I have to say, before everyone's encouragement this morning I just sat here at work and cried and was ready to give up...now I am ready for another day...:flowerforyou: Thanks everyone.

 I have been counting calories in my head for 2 1/2 years & lost 35 pounds. But I was stuck so I stumbled across this site two weeks ago & have actually been logging my meals everyday and trying to walk/jog at least 4x a week. I actually lost two pounds last week. I think it's because I can really see the calories versus averaging in my head. Keep logging your meals & try to walk when you can! I know you'll start seing results!
