Last 10

I'm down to my last 10 lbs. The problem? I've been here for almost 2 years! I think my HW was 180ish, but I started tracking and exercising at 175 and got to the 150's within a few months. Since then, I've just been floating around this 10 lb zone, (although sometimes it's crept up to the 160's... that's a pretty bad feeling!) Ultimately, I want to maintain a weight in the lower 140's.
I think the problem has been tapering motivation. The closer I get to 140, the more comfortable I feel and I start to skip workouts and slack with calorie counts. I'm not at an unhealthy weight anymore, and although these last 10 are the vain sort, I'd like to see the finish line, ya know? If I stay on track with what I've been doing for the last 5 days, I should get to my goal in less than 8 weeks, (yay, dreaded swimsuits!)
How do you keep yourself from getting too comfortable with the progress you've already made? How do you stay motivated when you're close to the end and the weightloss slows?

it seems to me than getting under 150 is super hard compared to the rest. my starting was like yours 185, i got to 150 easy it seemed, but keep plateauing there. your body adjusts, and you burn less cals at a lower weight, so you must increase your cal burn and intesity. also make sure you do right by your diet. not to low, not to lenient. i find websites helpful like freedieting.com has good calculators and eating less carbs and more veggies and lean protien. unused carbs get stored. drink LOTS of water too. I'm at 145-146 right now. got to 130 last year. (hubby returned from army training then i gained some back)0

I'm pretty much on the same boat. I'm trying to lose 10 pounds that I packed on a year and half after I hit my goal weight. You just have to remember that you have a goal, and maybe after that goal try to start a new goal like running a mile in under a certain time or a certain outfit you award yourself after 6 months of staying at your target weight.
If I'm not mistake diet becomes increasingly important towards the end and watching your salt and sugar intake can make a big difference. And as "wrevhn" suggested you should start increasing the intensity of your workouts.0
