Ok, so I joined the Biggest Loser Contest in my home town on January 9th. The contest is 3 moths (ends in a little over a week). I've done really well so far, but can't seem to lose even 1lb in the last 3 weeks.............I've switched up my workout and eating (I'm always way under on calories) so I'm trying to eat more, but it's so close to the end I don't want to gain a bunch of weight for the final weigh in!!

Anyway, on to my questions:

1st Q: SUGAR - I keep going over on sugar, the sugar I am eating is coming from fruits and veggies mostly, so is that ok?? Or should I cut back and make sure to only have the allowed amount?

2nd Q: PROTEIN - I also keep going over on Protein......mostly coming from meat and eggs, sometimes I eat cheese.
****I am O blood type and I was told that someone who is O type is more likely to crave protein which I do...so is it ok if I'm going over that too?

I'm just wondering why the heck I can't lose anymore weight lately..................I gotta lose at least 3lbs by April 9th!!

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!!

Also, I work out at least 5 times a week. Constantly switching it up - Active 2, Zumba, 30 Day Shred, Walking, Running

    you need calories to fuel the fat burning machine if you are going below 1200 net cals a day then that is why you have stalled, so here are your questions answered;
    1) Natural sugar and processed sugar are 2 different things mfp does not differentiate between them so fruit is good, stick to the lower glycemic ones though if possible.
    2)protein so long as you are not exceeding 1 g for every pound of bodyweight you are fine but try not to allow it to rule your diet. You need carbs.

    Clean eating is the way to go if you want to make fat loss a permanent thing, processed foods are all to common and are a growing problem. These can stall or negate any work you do. If you really want to get lean and stay lean you really need to get the diet side of that going.

    You may want to consider opening up your food diary so that others can take a look at it and give you more specifics. What was already mentioned though are good start points.

    take ur body weight, divide by 15, that number is the number of cups to drink a day. Then, if u excercise, u need to drink extra water.

    no pop, even diet, the chemicals r horrid, if u drink coffee, u have to drink the same amount in water cuz coffee (and caffinated drinks) deplete ur water. this amount of water is just to replace the coffee depletation and not included in ur daily water intake.

    Stay away from high sodium foods, and obviously high fat foods. Eat more potassium than sodium.
