My favorites are the Healthy Choice Steamers (both the bowls and the trays). And the Lean Cuisines taste best to me over the other brands.

But, I'm trying to wean myself off of them because the sodium and carb levels are so high. The two brands I mention tend to have the lowest sodium levels (compare to stuff like SmartOnes, Eating Right, Lean Pockets, etc). I usually use 'em for work lunches since I can keep 'em in the freezer there. But they are really killing my carbs even more than my sodium (I don't really eat a lot of sodium heavy foods otherwise). But some of them I checked have upwards of 50g of carbs! O_o

So my best recommendation is simple meals. Chicken breasts, fresh veggies, and a small kitchen grill. I have a Cuisinart Griddle but something like a George Foreman Grill would work fine as well. I cook my dinners on it and the chicken breast only take a few minutes. I just buy a pack, put each one in a ziplock, throw some spices and seasonings in the bag and then I can just grab one from the fridge and toss it on the grill. No prep time and super tasty. And once my current supply of microwave lunches at work run out, I'm going to start cooking meals in advance on the weekend so I can take and reheat at work during the week. So you might be able to do the same for your dinners. :)

Im not sure to be honest as dont really have them. Would you have time to make a batch of soup? veg hot pot etc? and freeze it in portions so its quick and easy for you?

make a big batch of bolognese or chilli and freeze it then whenever you want a quick meal all you need to do is reheat and add pasta or rice :o)

I checked those out but the sodium on those were even crazier. 700-850 on the different meals. And at more double the price of other frozen meals. I just couldn't justify trying them. :(

They are a little more expensive but anything made by Amy's Kitchen is delicious!
  • I'm always on the go so whenever I don't have time to cook I just keep a bunch of SmartOne's on hand. I will usually have a tossed salad with them too, they don't fill me up otherwise haha.
