I have a chance to register for a zumba class or kickboxing, what would you pick and why?

Zumba...i have a number of friends on my list that LOVE it! love it so much that it doesnt feel like theyre going to an exercise class as its so much fun and the burns are fantastic. Kickboxing is good but I can't see the fun level being the same

Depends what you want and what's going to motivate you and what you'll stick with.
Kickboxing will be more of a workout, especially for any arm wobble. Zumba is great fun and will make you sweat.
    Can you do both?

depends what you after, I have tried kickboxing and found it was good workout but it was so boring after a while I just gave up. I love zumba and its great fun, infact I don't think of it as a work out, I have two different classes(and I'm trying a new one tonight) and all teachers teach completely different some make the whole class joing in doin conga lines etc while others is more about the steps and then others are about the constant fitness jumping around stuff(i hate those instructors, lol) I think kickboxing is good for a workout that really makes you feel it the next day, but zumba is more social and fun.

Depends. It is real kickboxing, or cardio kickboxing? Would you take it for as a form of martial art (Check the instructor's background!), or just to burn calories?

So my answer is probably Zumba.

I would pick Zumba because it's so fun to do in a group setting, where as you can find really good kickboxing workouts to do at home. Zumba really thrives on atmosphere and fun times so I'd pay for that, and use Exercise TV or On Demand to find free kickboxing workouts to do on other days at home. :)

kick boxing definitely, i hate zumba.... hate hate hate....

seriously, doing a bunch of lame dance moves designed specifically so anyone can do them, just doesn't appeal to me at all. i never felt like such an idiot as when i done zumba, except, maybe when i attempted a step class. (that probably speaks volumes about me and my co-ordination). i'd rather something that kills me cardio wise or strength wise.

i can't dance to save my life, and i'd rather smash something.

I like kickboxing... for some reason I have the rhythm for that, but not so much for the dancing. Go figure.

I'd try Zumba. It's so popular now, I'd want to see what all the fuss is about. Kickboxing doesn't have the same fun appeal, and for me, I'll always choose the workout I'll actually enjoy more.

I would say it depends on what fitness level you are at. With Zumba, if you can't do a step, just keep moving! That is what my lady says anyway. I love Turbokick though. I always feel like I get such a better workout when I take the turbo class but my fitness level must be high to do it several times a week.

Zumba is fun though. I would try to do both but in all honesty, I would probably stay with Zumba longer.

kick boxing for sure...I tried Zumba and hated it...and then I did cardio boxing and it felt great. I don't feel stupid because I can't shake my hips to do the merengue, and the music doesn't p!ss me off
