I have been going to the gym since January 3 at least 3-4 times a week befroe work at 5:30 in the morning! I am so happy I made the decision to finally be serious about getting healthy! I am feeling great, looking better and have so much more energy! I can't wait for summer to go outside and MOVE!! I have been taking walks on my lunch hour and it is amazing how much better I feel. I have lost 27 pound so far, but that is just a number because I have found out I am a much stronger person than I ever thought I was. I may not be at my goal weight but I know it is just a matter of time and I am loving the journey getting there!!

Isn't it crazy how getting up earlier to do something like exercise seems so dreadful at first? After a short time, you start to crave it almost!
Nice work, it's paying off! Every day you are getting stronger, healthier, and adding years to your life. GO!!!

This is just a part of it! please read the link above

Generally someone with a BMI over 32 can do a 1000 calorie a day (2 lbs a week) deficit
With a BMI of 30 to 32 a deficit of 750 calories is generally correct (about 1.5 lbs a week)
With a BMI of 28 to 30 a deficit of 500 calories is about right (about 1 lb a week)
With a BMI of 26 to 28 a deficit of about 300 calories is perfect (about 1/2 lb a week)
and below 26... well this is where we get fuzzy. See now you're no longer talking about being overweight, so while it's still ok to have a small deficit, you really should shift your focus more towards muscle tone, and reducing fat. This means is EXTRA important to eat your exercise calories as your body needs to KNOW it's ok to burn fat stores, and the only way it will know is if you keep giving it the calories it needs to not enter the famine response (starvation mode)

    Good luck on your journey

This reminded me of my recent lifestyle change as well. I have to work 8 hours during the day. Period. So I asked my boss if I could get in early and be done early.
I used to LOATH getting out of bed in the morning it was so hard! But now I love it, forcing yourself to like something and get used to it is such a weird/amazing thing and can totally change your life!
So now I put in my 8 hours starting real early in the morning and get out by 3 or 4 pm (depending) and hit up the gym after! I feel that it saves time and gives me more time to spend with my fiance at night! I LOVE IT!:smooched:
