Has anyone else read it? I thought it was an amazing book, showed the other side of the coin for me. I know when I get dieting or trying to lose weight I have the tendency to go to the extreme, it really made me look at how I view food and weight loss.

Amazing read!

  • I am towards the end of this book myself! I can totally relate- just not to that extreme. I just posted something that I'm hoping others can relate to sort of in reference to this topic of getting obsessed over things. There is a fine line. :-)

I loved the book. I think it sheds light on what I consider to be a pretty serious problem - all of these famous people plastered on TV, magazines, movies, etc. that have to go to great and unhealthy lengths to maintain their weights. I consider myself to be a relatively smart person, but all of the skinniness gets to me sometimes. It is actually refreshing to see "normal" people in the spot light. It makes me afraid for the future generation of girls who will be and have been surrounded by skinkiness in the media their entire lives. But the book was great. I read it in about a week.

I haven't read it... I seem to be "all or nothing" also LOL... But, I think I am able to have a healthy view of food and have a realistic self image and goal in mind....
Thanks for the mention. I'll check it out!
