Confused on Net Calories and Eating Back Exercise Calories

Help! Just starting today on here and I am so confused. I am supposed to take in 1770 net calories a day and i plan on exercising 3 days a week (starting small with goal hoping I can make it). So does that mean on the days I am exercising I have to eat more calories in order to still meet the 1770 net calories? Seems like in order to lose weight I need to decrease the caloric intake, not increase. I am so confused!
