Learning to breathe

I am new to this whole jogging/running/exercise thing and I find that I get winded very easily. I've heard you should breathe in through your nose and out your mouth when jogging - is this accurate? Any tips or tricks or good breathing exercises that I should put into practice?

Thanks ~ you all are amazing!

When I run I breathe with a pace that mimics my running. I start out taking 3 paces to breathe in and 1 to breathe out. As I get further along and more tired, it gets upped to 2 paces in and 1 out. I pretty much always breathe through my mouth except when I first start running.

No, you don't get enough air in through your nose while running. You need as much oxygen as possible, and that it done by abdominal mouth breathing.
