Hello all- I am really on a roll...doing everything within the "rules" and working so hard at eating healthy and making right choices but am very very scared as my mother-in-law will be visiting this weekend to help celebrate our wonderful son's 2nd birthday and she will be bringing LOADS of home made cakes, brownies, cookies and such...For our party, we have finger foods and plenty of veggies so I am not so worried about that but I am more concerned about the rest of the weekend stay and how I can gently decline A) without hurting her feelings and B) decline period! We make it a rule to keep no junk in the house. We have been very fortunate with our son-he does not have a sweet tooth and knows nothing of dessert aside from visits to Grandma's but this trip really has me anxious. I'm 12 pounds down and don't want to use this visit as an excuse to break the rules...ANY SUGGESTIONS?! Thanks SO much in advance!

Surely if you tell her how excited you are about your weight loss, she will understand if you have to decline. Just say, "Oh I would love to be able to eat that, but right now I just can't". Surely she will understand. Stay strong!
