Calorie calculation for pickles?

I just got a recipe for homemade pickled carrots, and I'm wondering how to count the calories. The pickling brine has a good bit of sugar in it, but you don't drink it (at least, I don't! ). But the carrots are cooked in it, so I'm sure they absorb some calories along with the flavor. Any suggestions for figuring this out?
Thanks!
Thanks!
