What about carbs and fat grams?

I am curious if excess carbs and fat negatively impact our goals. I consistently stay within my calorie goal but those carbs and fat grams weigh heavy on mind sometimes. Does it matter how many grams of carbs and fat we consume if we are still within our calorie goal?
