Ok, here's the deal:
When I started using MFP, my scale was off by 10 lbs. It read 260 when I actually weighed 270.
Fast forward 5 months and I've lost 40 lbs. I buy a new scale and realize my old one was broken. I weigh 230 thinking I weigh 220.
I'm still happy with my current weight and it is pretty much ideal considering my height of 6'6, but MFP already has my weight recorded as 220. Should I add 10 lbs to my weight on MFP or should I just let it be until I actually get below 220?

Sounds like a sucky situation, darn scales :grumble: Look at this as a mini challenge just for you. You spent a while believeing you were 220, why not go all out and make it happen. You'll feel better for achieveing that goal (really this time) rather than just fixing it on MFP. That what i'd do anyways....I like a challenge. Good luck!

Personally, I'd switch it but make a mental note to myself that the original scale was 10 pounds off. That way, it's more realistic and you don't forget one day, step on the scale and think you've gained 2 or 3 pounds. But that's just me.. :0)0

I would let it be--b/c then you HAVE to get to 220
Seriously, I don't think I could handle the psychological ramifications of ADDING 10 lbs.
Whatever you decide--props to you for all of your progress so far!0 -
You can go back and adjust previousl entries. So if you want you can change your start weight to +10 then reenter each weigh in and delete the old weight.
