Layoffs, Pizza and Pie -- Arrrgh!!!

Talk about stress. My company is undergoing layoffs, the boss is bringing in pizza for lunch (maybe to soften the blow of laying us off?!?!?), and there's peanut butter pie for dessert to celebrate the intern's birthday.

How's a stress-eatin' girl to cope in these times of stress and calorie packed foods? :sad:

    Eat a snack or your lunch before the pizza comes in then, when it gets there, walk AWAY from the pizza, and go for a walk for 30 minutes so that, hopefully, by the time you're back, there won't be any left. Hopefully the walk will create some happy endorphins for you and lower your stress, bringing you back to feeling in control. Good luck!!! Oh...and something my sister and I do is, every time we see something that we REALLY want to eat because it looks/sounds SOOOO good...we remind ourselves that, "IT TASTES LIKE POOP!" We're dorks...just what we do. :laugh:

    If I know that I will be eating something REALLY bad, I try to plan ahead. I pre-enter the meals into the food diary so I know my limits. And I know how much exercise I need to do. Just a thought.

    It also really helps having a heart rate monitor.

    Daily Total Cal Intake: 1501
    Daily Allowance: 1200
    = Overage of 301 calories by lunchtime!!!

    Whaddya gonna do? It was a work group event and I couldn't say no to the entire group.
    I'll go try to work off those 300 cals at the gym and try to eat extremely low cal tonight. :tongue:

    Crap happens.
    Thankfully not every day!
