For those of you who are familiar with the story behind Randy Pausch, he lost his battle with cancer this morning. He will be remembered.

For those who haven't heard of him, read his story here: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Story?id=4614281&page=1

If you have never seen it, please watch his lecture. It will make you cry, and will likely hit you very, very hard both inspirationally and emotionally.

He leaves behind a wife and 3 children.

Oh no! He was an awesome human being. It makes me sad to think his children will miss having such an awesome Dad, and knowing such a cool guy.

I really, really thought he would beat it. I'm so sad now.

Heaven has a wonderful angel. May God bless and comfort his wife, children, and family.

What a generous spirit he had to share his final months with all of us through his writings and his beautiful, eloquent last lecture. His words are such a testimony to a life well-lived. For the small parcel of comfort that it is worth: I hope his family and friends know that he touched so many lives.

His lecture actually had a really huge impact on my family life after my husband and I watched it. My quote on my profile is paraphrased from this lecture.

I didn't know - thanks for posting this. My heart goes out to his close friends and family
