What is generally the recommended amount of sugar daily for a healthy diet? MFP has mine set to 36 grams but to me that seems a bit low. Would this be correct or should it be a little higher?

Bump! I'd love to know what everyone else has their sugar intake set as.

MFP set mine to 24g and I changed it to 30g, but I still go over almost every day. I don't even worry about it anymore.

I asked the same question earlier. Mine is set at 24g. Seems pretty low, considering an apple has about 17g of sugar! I don't eat much processed sugar, so I guess that's a plus.

I always exceed my MFP limit on daily sugar intake and its all via fruits and food. No soda's or candy or sugar filled items at all. I don't worry about natural sugars.

Ah ok, I just realized mine is set to 24g also. Don't know where I got 36 from? So I guess I should leave it at what it is and not worry too much about it as long as most of it is natural sugar.
