Anybody have some good recipies ideas for Protien Shakes and Smoothies that stay under 250 cals (or thereabout)
I am completely burnt out on my whey, yogurt, and frozen berries.
I know you people must have something up your sleeves. I would like to try something new. I have nearly turned into a blueberry.
Thankx!

Higher in calories than your target, but
1 cup chocolate soy milk
1 scoop protein powder
1-2 tablespoons peanut butter
water or ice to taste.
My favorite! Tastes like a Reese's cup milkshake. I have one after a hard workout, when I can afford the sugar in the soymilk.
Also good is half a frozen banana
protein powder
peanut butter
and water or ice for consistency.
Frozen mango is also super good.0 -
Here's the smoothie I make every morning. You can substitute any frozen berry or even frozen peaches for the blueberries. Good luck!
Bananas - Raw, 0.5 large (8" to 8-7/8" long) 61 16 0 1
Blueberries - Frozen, unsweetened, 0.5 cup, unthawed 40 9 0 0
Crystal Light - Sunrise Classic Orange Sugar Free, 4 fl oz 3 0 0 0
Dannon - Light 'N Fit Yogurt, 4 oz 60 7 0 3
Psyllium Husk , 1 Tablespoon 15 5 0 0
Flax seed - ground, 1 Tablespoon 40 2 3 2
Vitamin Powder, 1 Tablespoon 35 2 0 7

oooh, chocolate! I can't wait to try that one! Thanks!
If we could get a recipe thread going that would be great. I live off of these things durring the summer. Here's a recipe I love and it is around 150 calories!
3/4 cup frozen berries or fresh berries (blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, or mixed berry)
1/2 cup fat free vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup cold pinapple juice
1 tablespoon wheat germ
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
(you can opt out on the yogurt and use orange sherbet but you'll lose some nutritional value...maybe save this one for a "treat" day)
Throw in some ice lastly to chill it up. My daughter loves this one too. Did you know that the typicall Jamba Juice smoothie has over 400+ calories!0 -
GenSoy protein shakes in vanilla taste great clended with just skim milk; they really help me curb my hunger til lunch!0
