  • Our company was moving into a new location and there was a lot of stress and anxiety about whether we'd survive or go under.
We all pitched in together to set up the furniture and everything that needed to go into a new operations center.

The CFO was a wee bit of a geek and I wanted to loosen him up a bit.

So I created a phoney document that specified the gov't regulations for employee bathrooms. They must include an assortment of condoms. I made a specific list and put it in the phoney document.

I had a private talk with the CFO and told him that is was my task to buy all the condoms but since I was so young (around 25 at the time) I was too embarrassed to fulfill my task and would he please do it for me?

So the poor fella had to go out and buy hundreds of condoms in all sizes and specifications. ....expense them...and then return them all later.

All of us had a good laugh.

    That is awesome.

So the best one I've done so far was a few years ago. My boyfriend has this habit of just strolling into work sometime between 9 and 9:30 a.m. and isn't really compelled to be there at a particular time so I decided to teach him a little lesson on punctuality.
I changed the time on all of the clocks in the house and on my boyfriend's car so that it was an hour later. I was able to do it without him noticing because at the time I had to be up for work at like 3am. So here he is getting up an hour early and getting ready for work. Not noticing a thing other than the clock on the microwave is off compared to the other clocks, so he changes it to reflect the "correct" time. He doesn't wear a watch so this worked out really well. He drives to work and is delighted that the traffic isn't as bad as usual but doesn't pay any mind to it. Parks at work and notices the parking lot is nearly empty. Once again, not really fussed. He walks in and says to the receptionist "Wow, not very many people in this morning, is there?" She gives him a strange smile and he continues on to his department where he finally realizes that he's an hour early to work.

Today he decided to try to get me back by changing the monitor on my laptop so everything was upside down. Figured out how to re-orient it fairly quickly and then decided to get him back by taking a screen shot of his desktop, set it as his background and then hide the icons on the desktop. Now when he goes to click on something to open it, it won't work no matter how much he clicks on it.
    :D

About 25 years ago I had a boss that had an office in the corner. Above his door was one of those vent windows that he usually left open (so he could hear us if we got loud). Every 1st of the month he had to do a scheduled phone meeting with his boss, at 9am. Every day he would come in at 8 and leave at 430. Some of us would work up until 6pm. Everyone stayed an extra bit of time on 3/31 and STUFFED his office with balloons thru the vent window. He didn't make it to his own phone for the meeting that day. It took him nearly an hour to get the door open enough (it opened in) to start popping balloons. He never left his vent window open again.
