I just wanted to post on here and say hello. I just signed up for my fitness pal today after hearing about it from a couple friends.
My total goal is to lose about 65 lbs. I am currently at around 210 and a size 14/16. I want to be around 145 and a size 8 which is what I was the last time I was a size 8.
Anyway, I'm a very active person so the exercise part isn't the hard part for me. The harder part is Dr Pepper and just good homecooking that isn't always healthy lol.
I go hiking almost every weekend, Take my dogs to the dog park and then go to our zoo. Our zoo is built into the side of a mountain so there is a lot of climbing involved. My family and I are going on an all day hike on Sunday and that hike alone will burn approximately 3000-4000 calories lol.
A little about me aside from activities. I am a stay at home mom at the moment but I am rarely at home lol. I am married to a U.S. soldier. We have two great kids, a 7 yr old girl and a 10 yr old boy. Both of our kids are active. Our daughter plays basketball, soccer and does dance and cheerleading as well. Our son plays basketball, soccer and football. I am my daughter's soccer coach this year so that gives me two days of great exercise a week. I have a Associate degree in Crime Scene Investigation and am still going to school. Right now I'm also working on an Associate degree in Psychology while working on classes that will transfer to my Bachelor's in Forensics.
Anyway I'll stop rambling now. Gotta finish folding the laundry til its time to go get the kids in an hour.

Since being active is already a part of your day, then logging in and logging your food is going to be the clincher to your success. Having friends on here is really important. I was going to go it alone, but I like being able to motivate others and have others cheer me on, too.
