I thought I'd do the intro... I joined on Wednesday and it's a lot of fun. I love inputting my food and exercise in.
I've spent most of my life at an ideal weight, but was not in shape - high body fat and no stamina, but small in size.
Then when I got married, a major change in lifestyle hit. I gained 10 lbs the first year, a few more the 2nd, then bam, I had gained a total of 40 pounds before I knew it! My husband is in the military; we moved overseas for some time and I did alright, tried various things to lose weight. Before we moved I dropped 10 pounds and felt good, but then it was back to the US and all the food and our stuff took forever to arrive. I tried to use what little I had to keep healthy meals around, but dang it if I didn't put those 10lbs back on, PLUS an additional 5 holiday weight (first time with family over the holidays in 5 years, I went a bit crazy)
I was frustrated because my usual efforts weren't paying off. Feeling frustrated and ready to give up, I was advised to come here. I can see how I'm eating different when I stay under my calories. I exercise quite a bit, and I eat those calories, which helps me to keep working out because 1200 just doesn't seem quite enough!
