High uric acid

I has some lab-work done recently and I have high uric acid. Apparently very high levels according to my doctor. He told me to stop taking the Hctz pill I was on, drink more water and avoid foods high in purine. When I checked out what foods to avoid I was severely disheartened. Every food I've been eating that's on the healthy side is full of purine. Chicken, turkey, seafood, asparagus, mushrooms, beans and whole grain breads and cereals. The only thing I can eat from now on is tofu and dark berries!!!!! Does anyone else have issues with this and whats a good balance. I was really starting to like asparagus

I have issues with hereditary gout, which is a result of being unable to process uric acid. There's a wonderful homeopathic, and HEALTHY food that helps this issue. Cherries!! Fresh cherries or even cherry juice. It helps to flush uric acid and purines out of your system. Best part, healthy, natural, and TASTY!!0
