So i was reading on the forums on scales and when to weigh etc etc. One of the responses was to put a 10 lb weight and make sure the scale is accurate. Well i have a digital scale and put the 10 lb weight on....it couldn't read it, acted as if nothing was on it. so i grabbed my hubby's 25 weight and threw it on the scale...it weights 23.1! I'm disappointed. lol :( my scale is off or broken. i changed batteries, same problem.

try moving the scale to another place and try again...keep trying until you find a place that reads it correctly then you know where to weigh yourself...just hope its not on the patio eh!?

The floor it is on has to be level and from what I have been told anyway, not carpeted. Also I do not think there is a perfect scale unless you buy a professional model and shell out mega $$$$$. If it says 23 lbs then just know it is 2lbs off. Good luck!

even if it is off at least you know by how much!! really though its not about how much you weigh but how much you have lost and how you feel!! Whether the scale is off or not as long as you have been using the same scale you have still lost the same amount. I was actually just about to go and weigh something too to see how off it is. Im kinda scared!! lol

It is also possible that the 25lb weight isn't actually 25 lbs, but I don't know how to test that without using another scale. Did you weigh the weight multiple times in the same spot to at least check for accuracy? My wife's digital scale is horrible, it can change 20 lbs just stepping off and getting back on again. If it's accurate, then you can tell weight change, which is the important number.

Yeah i've moved it around my bathroom, but i'll try another room in the house lol. i just tested out another weight that's a 15 lb-er. it shows up as 14.6 So i guess my weights are on their lighter side of the day lol. At least i8 know that maybe the weights themselves are off. Thanks guys
