I'm Alex, or Alley. I'm just starting out here at MyFitnessPal. I decided it was finally time for me to lose weight. I may not have gotten anywhere with my weight loss yet, but at least I've made the decision to get healthy. :D

Hi Alex, or Alley! Welcome to the best site on the web! This place is fantastic, and you WILL lose the weight that you want to here. Between the easy to use food counter (which by the way is a REAL eye opener!) and all the wonderfully supportive people, the weight "practically" falls off!
I was always a "big" girl. I've fought a weight problem since I was a toddler. Imagine what it's like to have a twin sister who's a twig! Didn't I HATE that! I was a size 18 when I was in high school, and got up to a 20 I'd say. I did get a chance to be thin once, between husbands, lol, but, didn't stay that way for very long. I got too contented with the second hubby!
Then I discovered I had a thyroid problem, and was just blaming my continued weight gain on that.
BUT, once I started this site, the weight has steadily been coming off!
This site is fun, and addicting, you are going to LOVE it!
I might suggest that you log all your foods BEFORE you have them, rather than later, since it tends to lead to better eating choices. You might also want to weigh and measure some things, rather than just estimating.

Hi Alex! I have a 17 year old daughter named Alex. I think it's great that you want to get healthier--you will like it here. Lots of motivation to stay on track--I say that as I am eating a plate of giant nachos--just kidding!
