I am having a heck of a time trying to figure out how many calories will be roughly in each one of these.
Anyone good with their math?
Mannicotti shells (14 per box = 910 calories)
Lean Ground beef 210 calories in 1/2 cup ( I used about 1.5 lbs)
380g mozzarella cheese (1/3 cup = 110 calories) i used the whole 380 g
700mls sauce = 420 calories
4 tbsp bread crumbs = 110 calories
dash of saly and pepper and onion powder
1 egg
1/4 cup 2% milk
not sure how i go about figuring out the approx calorie count of one mannicotti?
Each shell is stuffed and the sauce is poured over top of them all.
Is this too much to ask if anyone could help me out?
Thank you

Put the whole thing in the recipe tab, make 1 shell a serving, and add that to your diary. Easiest way to do it.0

Have you tried the recipe maker on this site? Under the foods tab, go to recipes. I use it all the time, and love it. You can go in and enter all the ingredients, and then enter the number of servings, and it will break it down as cals/serving for you.0

If you click on the "FOOD" tab then the sub-tab "RECIPES" there is yet another tab for you to add your own recipes. I haven't used it on this site, but on the other site I was on, it breaks down everything for you....it looks like this site does as well. Good Luck and it sound delicious!0

Add up all cals and divide by 14....you should get roughly around 155 cals/serving...I didnt know the one egg and 1/4 cup 2% milk so I winged with any number and I came up with 155.7/serving...0

I use this site: http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/recipe_analysis.php You simply copy and paste the ingredients, enter the number of servings and it gives you back the nutrition info. I then enter this into the My Foods tab on MFP and have the item for future use.
Here are the results for your recipe:
Calories 187
Total Fat 8.9g
Saturated Fat 4.8g
Cholesterol 72mg
Sodium 196mg
Total Carbohydrates 2.6g
Sugars 0.5g
Protein 22.6g
Vitamin A 3% • Vitamin C 0%
Calcium 21% • Iron 10%0 -
