I just recently had a kid recently and my gym will only allow babysitting for kids 1 year olds and older. Would like to get my weight lifting in but am limited to walking. Any parents have any suggestions for how I can get my exercise's in?

I was on the elliptical the other day, and a woman came in with on of the carrier carseats with her newborn baby in it and put it right next to the machine. She then finished and did some circuit training with the baby in the carseat sleeping at each station. It was pretty good! I complimented her on how cool that is, and she said she gives the baby a big feeding, then puts her in the car, and the baby falls asleep in the car, then the baby is out cold in the carseat and she can bring her all over the gym without her waking up. Then she gets her workout in!

If you have a Wii, I got the Biggest Loser game and do it while my baby naps. I also have the just dance 2, but that one is more fun with 2 people.

Or you could try some workout video's. Like 30 day shred :)

Can you buy some DVD's to use at home? You can exercise when the baby sleeps.

I use ChaLean Extreme weight training at home. It is made by the same people who make PX90. Resistance tubing is included in case you do not have dumbbells or do not want to buy them at first. I bought mine in October and LOVE it.
But I fo like the idea of bringing the baby in a carrier when he/she is asleep. :-)

Its cool if he child stays asleep. But one of the most annoying sounds that the general public should not be subject to is a screaming baby. When I hear it I have to leave the premises.
