I've been doing MFP for four weeks now. Pretty much every day I've been able to stay close to my calorie goal.....until yesterday - I ate almost 500 extra calories and knew what I was doing the whole time and didn't care. I got to thinking about why I did it this morning - my environment is out of control at the moment. I had to work 1/2 the day yesterday and when I got finished working I was tired and rested for a few hours. When I got finished resting I still didn't want to clean house - which looks like a tornado came thru...and I think that's what has made me 'lose it'. I feel terrible guilt for letting it get this way but couldn't get a grip and take care of it...so yesterday evening I made it worse and just watched movies and still didn't do a thing and went to bed really late. Today I am going to get my house in order...I think that's really going to help. Anybody else feel this way?

Try not to beat yoruself up! We all have bad days. It's ok. Today is a new day. Just get back on track today. I have done this MANY times. Usually once a week LOL. But I don't beat myself up anymore. You can do it!!!!0

dont beat yourself up over one or two bad choices. Just start at each choice... make the best choice at the time.
Choose right and the results will follow. It is not so much what you did. It is what you will do. Do it now. make the right choice!0 -
This totallly sounds like me!! I used to really let it mess with my head and send me on a downward spiral but now my mantra is "do the next right thing!"0

Everyone has those days every so often. Try not to beat yourself up. I tell my daughters to put on their big girl panties and get moving. Today is a new day. Can';t change yesterday, so start again today. Even small steps! Keep up the great work! And I just went through this not too long ago. Managed to get house clean, but went over calories as spent time with hubby instead of working out before party. Oh well, a little extra workout today! You can do this!0

Not only is it OK, its natural...you are not on a diet, you are changing your eating habits, so on the occassional day that you eat what you want without caring is only human, at least you are holding Yourself Accountable, thats all that matters. Start today as if that never existed, cause what can you do about it now....stay focused and if you have another day like that w/in the next 2 weeks...look at it from the bigger picture...if you are shaving at least 500 cals from your diet a day....then Kudos to you!!!0

The nice thing about a day bad is that it is ALWAYS over in 24 hours and you get a fresh start. Good luck today!0

Yeah, there are some days that I just feel like I don't want to clean house and get suuuuper lazy! On the days that I start the day with doing nothing, or on the days I take a nap I always kick myself in the butt afterward.0
