Well...I thought I'd start the new thread for this week! I hope everyone is right on track and enjoying this challenge! Let's make some strong and happy arms!!!! Tomorrow I will be starting Week 2 Day 1 so I will check back then!

What is the 100 pushup challenge?
Check out our first thread. It's simply called "One hundred PushUps" and it has a link with the plan and schedule. Hope this helps. This week is the start of week 2.0 -
I did the modified pushups last week and Saturday morning I was doing 51! So I am starting this morning with Week 1 Day 1 first level, full pushups! I hope I can make it through. I was so sore with the modified pushups!0

Okay, there we are. Had trouble finding you guys. Was supposed to do day 2, week 1 today, but my workout consisted of abut 7 kinds of pushups, so no juice left in the arms to do the challenge. managed over 50 as it was,but will do the challenge tomorrow.

Today is the first day that I am actually REALLY sore from my pushups yesterday. Sounds like everyone else is doing really well! Keep it up!!!0

I am posting my accomplishment for Level 1 - Week 2 - Day 4
Sets: 1 (4), 2 (4), 3 (3), 4 (3), and last but not least set 5 (maxed out at 8 using correct form).
I did them according to the fitness level determined by the above site.
I will reevaluate my ability to do them as ...REGULAR pushups after day 12.
Soon I WILL do 100 regular pushups...commitment + determination = success :bigsmile:
Any other Level 1 people out there??

Okay, well week 2 of the challenge I am re-doing week 1 because I was unable to attain the push ups required in the 5th set each of the first three days. I can definitely see improvement:

These pushups make me sooo sore, and I can only do a few of them, but I WILL see improvement eventually, I know it!! :happy:

Reaction to today's challenge:
OK...so I don't hate this like walking on a bed of nails...but still get a feeling kinda like jumping off a cliff to go hang gliding for the first time...very intimidated but somewhat excited!!

Im thinking I may have to do modified level 1. Originaly I was to do level 2 but once I hit the third day I was beat.
My shoulders and arms seem to crack allot...so Im thinking of trying level 1 because I really wanna do this!!!0 -

I did full pushups Week 1 level 1 Days 1 and 2 on Mon and Wed. Today I will do day 3. I may have to do week one over again but we'll see when I try week 2 on Monday next week. Have a great weekend!

I have completed Week 2 which to me is Day 6 of the 100 Pushup Challenge!
I am still doing Level 1 modified on knees:
Set 1: 5
2: 5
3: 4
4: 4
5: Maxed out at 10 even though the minimum required was only 6!
If I can work up to 100 pushups consistently by doing this 6 wk program www.hundredpushups.com

SO...I totally forgot to do my pushups this weekend! Argh!:explode: I can't believe it!!! And tonight is my weight night at the gym, so I honestly don't know if I'll be able to do them tonight when I get done, but if not, I will finish up week 2 day 3 tomorrow, then start week 3 on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. So...I will get caught back up! Hope everyone else is doing well! And I will start a week 3 thread right now!0

Okay well I was unable to do day three because I got sick on Friday. As of yesterday I was still in no mood to do push ups. Hopefully tonight...0

Thank you so much for this post and this challenge...I really needed this today...I've got the relationship blues, I'm feeling heartache today, and this is just what I needed, an additional goal to add to my daily routine.
I copied and saved the link...will read it and begin the challenge today!

ps...my arms are my least favorite body part and I had been telling myself I needed to do some extra work but just haven't busted a move yet...I'm into bellydance and arms are most important in expressing this artform...so again, thank you so very much!0 -
