Hi all. I am a 41 year old mom of 2 - ages 22 months and 5 years. Consider myself to be a very fit individual and relatively healthy eater. Have recently become interested in bodybuilding and needed a way to better track my intake. Have always generally ate healthy but never had a reason to track protein/carbs/fats as closely as I have learned I am going to need to for my new venture. Would appreciate any insight from current bodybuilders. Am looking at competing in a show in 1 year. Currently weight 131 lbs at 5 foot 7 inches and have decent muscle development but certainly not body building material right now. One question I have is what a good goal weight would be or is that irrelevant and what I'm looking for is low body fat and increased muscle mass? Thanks

Have you checked out Clean Eating magazine or Oxygen magazine? Also, bodybuilding.com has some great resources and a message board for women.

Check out Bodybuilding.com it is a wonderful website that offers all kinds of information and support! I have a bodyspace account and it is all free. I LOVE it! I hope to compete one day too :) Good luck to you!

I dont think you need a weight goal, you do need to get body fat low, so start pumping some iron! good luck!
