i will be completeing turbofire in about 3 weeks and im trying to find another program to move on to. my boyfriend has p90x that he bought and never used, but im not sure if that will work for me. i have 15-20 more pounds to lose, but i also want to otne up for our many beach vacations this summer. id lke to try p90x, or something else that is not as cardio based as turbo fire - but can you still lose wieght without 6 days of intense cardio? also, does p90x work without following the diet plan? we seem to have lost that somewhere and i've heard that following it to a T can be pretty expensive

any advice abbout either would be greatly appreciated.

There is a program they came out with before P90X called Power 90. I'm doing that and it may be closer to what you're looking for.

Losing weight is all about cals in vs cals out. Keep this balance and no matter what kind of workout you are doing you can lose and even tone.

With that in mind I am a stron advocate for 1) Workouts you ENJOY and 2) LOW COST workouts. For cardio, why not try couch to 5k Here's the version I used from Women's health: http://www.womenshealthmag.com/files/pdfs/running-intermediate.pdf (it may ask you to put in your email to access the PDF). You can even check out their site and try out the non-running workouts that they suggest. Also check out womens health or SHAPE or FITNESS- they should all have their own versions of a bodyweight workouts (which require limited or no equipment).

Just remember to strike a balance- I do 3-4 days of cardion and 1-3 days of strength/stretching depending on my schedule (ALWAYS have at least 1, more often 2 rest days). Good luck!

I've been doing P90X. Not they way you're supposed to but the way it works for me. I want more cardio so I tend to stay on a rotation of the "cardio" discs (ie. CardioX, KenpoX, Plyo, etc.) I will throw in a strength training disc every few days. If your set includes the 2 free workouts on the intro disc be sure to include them in your line up. I am way more toned than I've ever been and can actually see some muscle definition in my arms, legs and abs (even without the weights). If you find out you want more cardio, mix in some TurboFire. There's no one right thing for everyone.

thats a great link! i love the strength exercises they give you. the reason i lean toward the expensive stuff is because i dont know what lifts/squats/etc to do and it walks you through it - but i will defintely make use of that! thank you :)
