So I'm sooo happy about losing weight and looking good usually I'm on a happy high, every once in a while though (like now) I get this terrified feeling, my chest gets a little tight and I feel like screaming. IDK why I'm scared it just comes out of nowhere I guess all this change is scary ? Has anyone else ever felt this way?

Right after a big line of meth I.. Oh wait, that's for my other support network. Hahaha

I get scared sometimes and have that little voice inside ask me how long I think I can really keep this up. And I've found this to be even more defeating than actually giving up. I think it's alla bout where I'm focusing: either on what my next accomplishment can be or what I don't think I'm capable of. And that's a daily decision.

99% of this for me is changing my thinking through positive actions.

I sometimes have that feeling but I realize that it is from stress. I was told that they are minor panic attacks; but talk to your doctor. He suggested taking some deep breaths and a hot bubble bath. I take a hot bath at least four days a week....I don't have the feeling as often anymore. But, that works for me....talk to your doctor!

I have anxiety and sometimes I feel scared because I waited to long to get into shape. I also feel because I sometimes have a headache after working out, not a real bad one but one none the less, sometimes my eyes get blurry which I am pretty sure is the lights I feel like maybe I have a brain tumor lol.

yea I tend to start thinking about how aweful it would be to go back to where i was after getting this far and being so happy I guess I am scared that if i got that big once there's certainly no reason I couldnt get that big again.

    Just stay positive :)

Trust me, I'm an angry Irishman, it's hard for me sometimes. I do whatever I have to to keep up my attitude, though.

This is a normal reaction to change in your life. Your entire life is changing because you are changing and choosing to become healthy. When we make a choice to change, it is scary, we don't know how it will make our life different. You are going out of your comfort zone and that feels uncomfortable by definition. Also it is important to note that when we make changes in our life, others around us may look at us differently and this can be good or bad depending on the relationship. So it is possible that relationships will be altered but this does not have to be a negative.

You know what I am afraid of...it is completely irrational, but I am afraid that I will wake up one morning and I will have gained all the weight back, just like that...worry about it every day. I also worry about becoming complacent and comfortable; this is probably the most terrifying thing. We all have fears, it is how we handle those fears and move passed them that defines us, not the fear itself....fear can be fleeting if we are not frozen by it. Have strength and courage, it will amaze you how incredible you will become if you move past your fears.

Thank you for this :) you are right on the money with the relationships changing, my family and i used to tease each other about the crap we ate and the fact that we would complain about being fat WHILE eating it, I apparently am not allowed to joke about weight anymore since I've lost a lot, it really sux b/c they have pretty much limited everything I'm allowed to say to them and i no longer feel welcome around my own family :/
