New to MFP and dieting

Hello everyone! I am new to MFP and dieting in general. I have seen people do many diets that fail. I am not looking for the body clensing, just water for a week or 2 bull. I am looking at just eating a little less and maybe walk around the block a few times a week. I don't need a six pack, I just need to wear down my keg.

I found this site on my android phone and thought it would be nice and simple. I can put in what I ate and what little exercise I do. So far it has been very easy. I am able to see how many calories I have had each day and it is nice because I can see if I am close and need to eat a smaller supper or no snacks.

I am married and have 4 kids so I am a busy guy. I am also looking for friends preferably close to my age of 30 and in MN. I enjoy riding my motorcycle so I get around most of MN throughout the summer.
