  • I got mine at Walmart for $5.00. The instructions tell you how to calculate your steps and everything.
  • 2000 steps to a mile, according to my pedometer. ;)

My pedometer is a Omron Walking Style One which I got from Argos (UK0. My pedometer works out distance based on my stride, calories burned and you log in your weigh etc. It also works out your normal steps and also aerobic steps. Only disappointing thing is that it records a much lower calorie burn than mfp does but I still log my pedometer burn as I guess it would be more correct.

I have a Smart Heath Heart Rate Pedometer watch. I got it at Walgreens awhile back when I was looking for just a regular HRM. I dont do much in the way of walking so I dont use it. YOu can have it if you like or anybody that wants it. I feel bad that it just sits unused.
Well! Good luck with you weight loss goals!

I use a Polar FT4 heart rate monitor instead. In my late 40's now, I don't want to over rev my ticker and blow a gasket or something. It counts calories and duration of exercise etc also, but is more expensive...

I've had good luck with an inexpensive pedometer I ordered from BCBS. If you order more than a couple, I think you can get a break on shipping, so get some friends to order some too.

    Walking WORKS....I'm living proof.
